So beastly, in fact, that it doesn’t come with a single peripheral attachment - you have to pick out your own monitor, keyboard, mouse, and anything else you may need. A few years later, in the spring of 2007, I bought a Mac Pro. Many years and a few family computers later, I bought my own computer: a Dell laptop that went off to college with me.Īfter the Dell was my first Mac, the iconic 12-inch PowerBook G4. ![]() I’d play games on it during the weekends when my family visited, until one summer when he upgraded and my folks inherited the hand-me-down IBM. The first computer I ever used on a regular basis belonged to my tech-savvy grandfather. As do most people, I suspect, I’ve always used the keyboard that came with my computer.
